Come to the Edge with Me

Dear Reader,

These days, the air itself feels heavy with ache. The world seems to be unraveling before our eyes — wars, division, disconnection — and sometimes it feels like humanity has forgotten how to see each other, how to remember that we belong to one another.

I’ll be honest: there are moments when I feel my own heart breaking. It’s so easy to slip into despair, to go numb, to believe that it is hopeless , that we are powerless.

But I’ve come to understand that this hopelessness is not accidental. It is by design.

Systems of oppression — patriarchy, capitalism, white supremacy — thrive on our numbness.

They depend on our silence. They want us to look away, to shrink, to forget that we have a voice.

Yet, something within me refuses to go quiet. Maybe you can relate?

The Oracle’s Whisper: Come to the Edge

Recently, I drew a card from The Wisdom of the Oracle by Colette Baron-Reid: #36 Coming to the Edge.

Its message has stayed with me:

“This is an invitation to courage. To Show up. To Speak up. To Let yourself be seen. Take the leap. Let go and discover that you can fly.”

This card reminded me that we are all standing at a collective edge — trembling, uncertain, but if you are reading this newsletter you are here for a reason. The invitation to Courage is the call that is being made and I believe it is the call of our times.

I want you to know It’s okay to be afraid. I too am afraid.

It’s okay to not know what comes next. I too do not know what is next.

The truth is we don't always need to know.

But we can trust.

Trust in our longing.

Trust in what want to emerge.

The edge is where change lives, where evolution, transformation and alchemy happen.

To come to the edge is to choose aliveness over safety, truth over comfort.

It asks us to risk being seen, to speak the words lodged in our throats, to act even when the path ahead is unknown.

This is not about recklessness — it’s about devotion.

Devotion to the truth of our souls.
Devotion to life itself. Devotion to each other.

Vulnerability as Rebellion

To those of you feeling the call to hold space — the healers, the visionaries, the culture makers in the making — I see you.

You’ve heard the whisper that there’s more for you to bring forth, more truth to embody, more light to offer the world.

Yet some days, that whisper wrestles with the ache of self-doubt — the quiet voice that wonders, Who am I to lead? What if I’m not ready?

And to those of you who are still finding your footing — the emerging seekers, the ones feeling the tremor of something bigger calling your name — I see you too.

You wonder if your voice matters, if your story is enough, if you can bear to be seen in your raw becoming.

I know that place — the hovering between what you’ve been and who you’re becoming.

The impulse to dim your brilliance so you won’t be too much, or to polish your edges so you’ll seem “enough.”

This is the moment to risk being seen.
To allow your trembling to be part of your medicine.
To let your imperfect, radiant truth step forward and serve.

Because this is how we begin to heal what has been breaking our collective heart.

When we choose to reveal rather than retreat, to meet one another in our tenderness instead of our defenses, we begin to remember what the world has forgotten — how to see one another again.

Vulnerability is not weakness; it is rebellion.

It is the antidote to a culture that teaches us to hide our humanity in order to be worthy.

When you show up — unguarded, wholehearted, real — you are practicing the very medicine our world most needs.

You remind us that authenticity is sacred leadership, and that seeing and being seen are acts of restoration.

Your work, your voice, your presence matter.

The world is aching for the medicine only you can give. So I ask you-will you come to the edge with me?

I hope you enjoy what I have curated for you as you come to the edge.

With You on the Journey,

Teresa

Affirmation

I choose courage over comfort.

I allow myself to be seen — tender, powerful, whole.

My vulnerability is my strength; my truth is my liberation.

Let Poetry Remind You:

“Start Close In” by David Whyte

Start close in,
don’t take the second step
or the third,
start with the first
thing
close in,
the step
you don’t want to take.

Start with
the ground
you know,
the pale ground
beneath your feet,
your own
way of starting
the conversation.

Start with your own
question,
give up on other
people’s questions,
don’t let them
smother something
simple.

To find
another’s voice,
follow
your own voice,
wait until
that voice
becomes a
private ear
listening
to another.

Start right now
take a small step
you can call your own
don’t follow
someone else’s
heroics, be humble
and focused,
start close in,
don’t mistake
that other
for your own.

Start close in,
don’t take
the second step
or the third,
start with the first
thing
close in,
the step
you don’t want to take.

Movement Practice: Embodying The Edge

As you listen, close your eyes, take a slow breath, and let your body lead.

Sway. Breath. Reach. Open.

Imagine yourself at the edge. The wind calling you with possibility.

Each breath says: I am here.

Each movement says: I choose courage.

Let your body remember what your spirit already knows — you were born for this threshold.

Dear Reader I wanted to share something a little special with you today. My conversation on the Let Go and Let’s Go podcast was just released, and I have to be honest — listening back to it felt tender. There is something vulnerable about hearing yourself tell pieces of your own story out loud. In the episode, Liliana and I talked about somatic work, women’s circles, embodiment, and the journey of coming back to yourself. But really, the heart of the conversation was about the woman who has...

Reader There’s a moment when something shifts. You start to notice the places where you’ve been saying yes when your body means no.Where you’ve been staying quiet to keep the peace.Where belonging has quietly required you to leave parts of yourself behind. And once you see it—you can’t unsee it. In my last letter, I spoke about the invisible weight so many of us carry. The systems that shape us—patriarchy, colonialism, capitalism, conditioning—and how they don’t just live “out there,” but...

I just started sharing these letters on Substack. If you prefer reading there (and want to support my work), you can subscribe here. Reader For most of my life I carried a weight I couldn't explain. I had done many years of therapy and personal transformation work. Twenty years of it. And still something felt off. Like I was missing a piece of myself I couldn't quite find. Maybe you know that feeling too... That sense that no matter how much work you do on yourself, something larger is still...
